Greetings from the board and staff of New Haven Ministries.  We invite you to join us as we celebrate the season of Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year.

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.  And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thanksgiving in your hearts to God.  And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:15-17

We are filled with gratitude at what God has done and continues to do in and through the ministry of New Haven.  We have seen a record number of clients come through our doors and we rejoice as many have opened their hearts to the Life of Christ and have experienced growth as they rest in Him and allow Him to work.  We are also thankful to be located in the Ministry Center and to have the opportunity to partner with the other ministries.

Recently two of our clients shared with us their thankfulness for the ministry of New Haven and what God has been doing in their lives.

“After being told my husband was cheating on me, a friend put me in touch with New Haven Ministries.  My first call was answered with such concern; all I could do was cry.  Carol and Rebekah have spent the past year and a half listening, guiding and helping me find out who I really am.  Little by little God has been growing me and I learn to depend upon Him each day. He has given me a joy that I cannot explain but I know comes from Him.  With the help of New Haven I am learning to make decisions and have found peace and joy in the Lord. Thank you God for helping me find them.”

“I’m grateful for the ground work that was laid for me at New Haven, through counseling and classes.  Difficult circumstances brought me there, but God used it for good (through all of you) giving me tools to begin my own personal journey of faith.”

It is our privilege to be invited in to the lives of our clients, like these two women, and to show them the love of Christ as we speak to them the truth of who God is and how He made them.  We thank God for each opportunity we have and we thank you for your friendship to this ministry that make those opportunities possible.

Our desire is that all of our clients will see more and more the character of Jesus.  He is the one who walks with us and guides our steps, He is strong and big enough for whatever we encounter, He loves us with a love that never fails, and He is the source of peace and rest.  It is our hope and prayer that we all will be shown in deeper ways what it means to know Jesus as our Life and to live in dependence on Him as we stand on the truth of His Word.

“But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14

The ministry of New Haven offers Biblical counseling at no charge to our clients. They are asked to give as they are lead and are able, but about 70% of our clients are unable to give. So we rely heavily on the gifts of the friends of our ministry.  We invite you to consider being one of those friends.  It is through your support that we can continue to do the work that God has called us to.

You can give by mailing a check to New Haven Ministries 225 E 11th St. Ste. #206 Sioux Falls, SD 57104 or online at www.NewHavenSF.org and clicking on the Online Giving button.

Blessings,
